Our Research

DESIGNED FROM DISCOVERY

Shock Absorber sports bras were developed as a result of extensive bio-mechanic research into the effects of exercise on women’s breasts. Results of this research led to the design of Shock Absorber sports bras.

THIS WAS A UNIQUE BREAKTHROUGH FOR ATHLETES AND SPORTSWOMEN WORLDWIDE.

BUT WE WANTED TO KNOW MORE...

Shock Absorber commissioned Bio-mechanic research at the University of Portsmouth, the world leaders in breast health.

HOW WE TEST

Retro reflective markers are positioned on the body to track vertical, horizontal and in-&-out movements of the breast whilst running.

Research

The retro reflective markers that are positioned on the body show that the breasts move in a figure of 8 whilst running and this movement is substantially reduced by wearing a Shock Absorber sports bra.

BIG OR SMALL, ALL BREASTS MOVE DURING EXERCISE
Our research has shown that even an A cup can bounce up to 4cms while a G cup can bounce as much as 14cms*. *University of Portsmouth

Breast Movement

AND THE RESULT?

The research proved that Shock Absorber sports bras are twice as effective at reducing breast movement as a normal bra.
